how do I tell a friend that she needs to stop copying my style. at first, I was flattered that she thought so highly of my style, but now it irks me that she copies everything. not to sound bitchy or anything, but sometimes I just need some style space, ya know?
maybe you could go shopping with her and suggest some things for her to try. that way, you'll be able to nudge her into her own style without hurting her feelings. she'll also value your opinion and your caring!
shopping with a friend is a great idea! i have the same issue with a close friend and don't want to hurt her feelings nor have her keep on copying my style. style is so important to me but so is she, and i don't want to sacrifice either.
a person that copies another's style isn't friend material in the first place.
